DISASTER SURVIVAL TRAINING
Businesss and Corporate Groups
Disasters can strike quickly and without warning! Control panic and fear using simple techniques! We recommend that you train as much of your employee base as possible in survival techniques, so that regardless of where they are in a disaster, they know what to do. If a major earthquake were to strike San Diego, thousands of employees could be stranded at work, on the road or at home. This program provides skills and information that can be used in the event of a natural or manmade disaster, and was developed in 1997 by Tom Beasley and Susan Conniry, authors of Ready Or Not - A Disaster Survival Handbook.
This training demonstrates that by utilizing simple methods, anyone can create a safe haven in their office, school, home or vehicle—anywhere—any environment. Preparation is the key to weathering a disaster; survival skills will ensure that you live through it. Emphasis is placed on controlling panic and fear by teaching the basic universal survival priorities:
- Creating a structure
- Finding, gathering, and purifying water
- Creating fire for heat and light
- Acquiring food from alternative sources.
Disaster Survival graduates receive certificates of completion that are recognized by San Diego City CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) and BERT (Business Emergency Response Team) programs.
Tuition is $25.00 per person
(Includes a copy of Ready or Not – A Disaster Survival Handbook)
(Minimum group size – 20 participants)
