"I would like to start out this by saying that I am probably one of Susan Conniry and Tom Beasley's biggest fans. As the Senior Administrative Assistant with our local Fire Department, I have coordinated and attended every one of their presentations.. And each and every year, I look forward to watching them again.

The first year, they changed the way I thought. They taught me to think outside of the box. Who would have ever thought of using Doritos as a continuous light source? How do you boil water when you only have a plastic bag?

Since that time, I have attempted to remember everything they teach during their fact-filled and entertaining presentation.

I have coordinated many presentations sponsored by the Fire Department for public education--from summer safety to earthquake preparedness to wildfires. Usually beginning about half way through the event, we start losing people and by the end, most of the attendees are ready to go home for the evening. When Tom and Susan finish their presentation, everyone is still sitting in their seats spellbound, and eventually we have to start closing down the auditorium to stop the many people who want to stay and ask questions after the normal questions and answer period.

I think that everyone should attend at least one of Susan and Tom's presentations. Even if they don't go home and do the things that they have been told to do, just listening to the presentation will make a person more prepared for a disaster." Michelle

"What a pleasure it was attending your preparedness class this weekend. We had so much to do right before Easter so sitting in a class for 2 hours was definitely a stretch for us. However, after 10 minutes of listening, we were so thankful to be there and wished everyone we knew would have been there too! We purchased 3 books for our friends and quickly put them into our car as they were going so fast, we were afraid someone else may have wanted ours! Thank you again for so much fabulous information! It was like sitting down to a prime rib dinner there was so much “meaty” knowledge to digest from you both."
